In 1936, the Northern State Medical University was established and got its accreditation from the WHO, Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, and the Medical Council of India. It ranks 105 among all the medical colleges in the country and 4276 in the world. It has been providing all kinds of medical education and training. The mode of teaching is bilingual. International students who choose English as their medium get lectures in English but for other students, the lectures are given in the Russian language.
