North East Medical College (NEMC) is a private medical school in Bangladesh. It is situated in South Surma Upazila, on the southern border of Sylhet. North East Medical College is the best private Medical College and Hospital in Sylhet and one of the leading medical colleges in Bangladesh. It is affiliated with Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) under the School of Medical Sciences and the Sylhet Medical University (SMU). The North East Medical College and Hospital offer an MBBS course program (5 yrs) and a BDS course program (5 yrs), approved by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC). After passing the final professional examination, there is a compulsory medical internship for one year. The Internship is a prerequisite for obtaining registration from the BMDC to practice medicine. The course is taught entirely in the English language, and the academic calendar runs from July through June.
The North East Nursing College shares the campus. It offers a three-year Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery, a four-year Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a two-year Post-basic BSc in Nursing.
The North East Medical College is located in Dakshin Surma Upazila, Sylhet, around 300 meters south of the Dhaka–Sylhet Highway.
